Team Cascade Black claimed wins in both games of the 22nd annual West Sound Senior High School boys and girls all-star games at Klahowya Secondary School on March 7. The Kitsap Athletic Roundtable is proud to annually sponsor the game jerseys for the event, which awards the best of West Sound, from Port Angeles to Bremerton, a final chance to show their skills on a high school basketball court.
The girls’ game went down to the write until Team Cascade Black pulled away in the final minute for an entertaining 51-43 win. Kyle Hoisington of South Kitsap earned MVP honors for Team Cascade, and Jannisa Lizama of Bremerton was named Team Puget Sound Red MVP. Lizama also won the 3-point shooting contest. Maddy Higgs of Central Kitsap won the Hot Shot competition.
The boys’ game was more a wide-open dunk contest that was never close. Team Cascade Black grabbed the early lead and never looked back for a 112-88 win. Dylon Sellers of Bremerton (Team Cascade) and Cade Orness of North Kitsap (Team Puget Sound) were named MVPs. Trenton Bulmer of Bremerton won the 3-point contest and Eli Kraft of Klahowya won the Hot Shot competition.
